One of the things that have helped me greatly with my PTSD and Bipolar is to have a purpose in life. To have achievable goals that i can focus on when able. It is so easy to do nothing and stay in a loop where everything stays the same, whether you have a disability or not. People generally repeat the same behaviours day after day and never think to do anything about it..

The secret is to take action (as Tony Robbins says). Take action on small goals that are achievable and actually get done. This gives you confidence and the momentum to keep moving forwards towards what you want.

I know that everybody is different, however we all want to matter at some level…to somebody…to ourselves. I truly believe that if you don’t give up on your dreams and keep moving forwards however slow or fast…your life will be going in the right direction. Towards positive achievement.

I can say without question… that this strategy has helped me immensely with my daily PTSD and Bipolar challenges.

I see a lot of people, doing the same old thing without any aspirations or desire to change their routine/life. Then they wonder why they never even have a chance of achieving their dreams. I know it is even harder with a psychological disability, however that is even more of a reason to not give up at being the best that you can be.

I love being an entrepreneur and therapist. It has taken me years to get to where i am now. 3 steps forward and 2 steps back, however with determination it became 3 steps forward and 3 steps back. Now the steps are in forward motion. I’m walking in the right direction for now and enjoying it. In time things will get faster. Eventually it will turn into a jog and then a run. Though if i think smarter. I’ll take the bus and get their faster. You get the idea 🙂

What i am trying to say, is to think outside of the box. Never give up on your dreams. Keep going. Believe in yourself. Ultimately you have to make a start and keep going and you eventually you will be ahead of the rat race.

To me. Disability has another meaning ‘ThisAbility’ sounds the same but is much more empowering.
